Captain’s Welcome
Bridge of Allan is a small and informal club with a friendly membership. The course is not long by today’s standards but has holes that will challenge golfers of all abilities and has wonderful views across the local countryside. The course has had considerable improvements over the winter carried out by the Greenkeeper and volunteers to improve drainage and clear vegetation which will be of benefit in the coming season.
Visitors are always welcome and we are fortunate to have a hidden gem as shown by the testimonials of many who have played the course.
The Club has very active Gents, Ladies, Seniors and Juniors sections with regular strokeplay, stableford and Open competitions. Teams from all sections compete against local clubs and in County leagues. We have recently built a practice area which provides a perfect facility for a coaching session or a short warm up before going out on the course.
To complement the great Golf facilities, Helene and Jimmy provide excellent food and drink for the 19th hole!
We are always ready to welcome new members and beginners are just as welcome as established players, so for anyone who would like to take up golf come along and enjoy the friendship and the fun.
The Club will be celebrating its 125th anniversary this year and a number of events are being organised. Please save the dates:
• Film and buffet supper – 20th March
• Mixed Team Event – 25th July
• Gala dinner – 3rd October
I look forward to meeting you both on and off the course and hope you enjoy the season ahead.
